Dr. Veronica Schmidt was born in Lima, Peru, and moved to the United States in 2000. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 2006 and obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Dentistry, in 2011.

After practicing dentistry in Nebraska, she relocated with her husband across the globe to Singapore in 2013, where she continued practicing dentistry and expanded her dental skills.

Dr. Schmidt returned to the United States in 2016 and completed a General Practice Residency post-graduate program at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, NY. She continued there as a staff dentist because she enjoyed overseeing the education of dental residents and giving back to the community. Since the post-graduate program closed in 2023, Dr. Schmidt has been practicing dentistry in the capital region.

Dr. Schmidt is very excited to join Altamont General Dentistry and its outstanding team. She enjoys interacting with patients and working on individually tailoring the best comprehensive treatment to improve each patient’s smile. Dr. Schmidt believes that oral health is a key component in overall health and quality of life. She strives to keep her patients at ease and make their dental experience as pleasant as possible.

Dr. Schmidt’s personal hobbies include spending time with her family and friends, keeping healthy by working out, and traveling!
